To further deepen practical cooperation in higher education between China and Russia, and to build a new international cooperation platform for cross-border talent cultivation and industry-education integration, a delegation from Hebei International Studies University paid a special visit to Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI) in Russia on June 9, 2026. During the visit, the two universities officially signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement and reached in-depth consensus on collaboration in multiple areas.

The President of SUAI, Professor Yulia Anatolyevna Antokhina, along with the university’s Vice-Rector for Educational Technologies and Innovation, the Dean of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Legal Technologies, and relevant leaders from the International Office, hosted the delegation from Hebei International Studies University throughout the event.

The delegation toured the SUAI campus, teaching facilities, training grounds, and other supporting infrastructure. They gained a detailed understanding of SUAI’s development in advantageous disciplines such as aerospace, entrepreneurship and innovation, and international education, as well as its talent cultivation models and achievements in internationalization. The delegation also learned in depth about SUAI’s experience in engineering training, international student management, and industry-education integration.

Following the visit, the two universities held a special cooperation seminar and the signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement.

During the talks, both sides introduced their respective educational characteristics, core program strengths, and international development plans. Focused discussions were held on key areas including cross-border e-commerce industry collaboration, student exchange programs, short-term study tours, academic visits for faculty, and joint development of academic programs. Details regarding implementation, talent cultivation plans, and long-term cooperation mechanisms were thoroughly explored.

Both parties agreed that the cross-border e-commerce industry between China and Russia is booming, presenting vast market potential and broad opportunities for cooperation. The two universities will fully leverage their respective disciplinary strengths, regional resources, and educational advantages to build platforms for university-enterprise collaboration and cross-border connectivity. These platforms will align precisely with the talent demands of the cross-border industry, focusing on cultivating high-quality, internationalized, application-oriented professionals to support deeper integration and development in China-Russia economic, trade, and educational fields.

This agreement lays a solid foundation for comprehensive, multi-level international exchanges between the two universities, further expands Hebei International Studies University’s international cooperation channels with Russia, enriches the models and platforms for cross-border talent cultivation, and injects new momentum into the high-quality international development of the university.
