At the meeting, Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of HISU, Xi Wei, Vice Chairman and Executive President, Yang Zhen, Assistant to the President for Foreign Affairs and Vice President, Zhang Fan, Deputy Director of the President's Office; as well as Professor Jesús Vivanco Rodríguez, Rector of ULM, Professor Gloria Zaragoza Ramírez, Academic Vice Rector, Professor Emmanuel Meza Magaña, Administrative Vice Rector, Professor Jocelyn Calderón Guzmán, Vice Rector for Development and Communication, Professor Diego Prado Pérez, Director of the Office of Internationalization and Academic Exchange, and Professor Romeo Amorio López Calderón, Director of the Office of Strategic Planning, conducted cooperative exchanges on five core topics: the two-way student mobility program, the joint establishment of a Confucius Institute at ULM, the joint establishment of a Mexican Cultural Center, the visit of ULM’s Rector Delegation to HISU, and the invitation to free international courses.

At the meeting, Professor Jesús Vivanco Rodríguez, Rector of ULM, stated that since President Sun’s visit to Mexico in November 2024, during which a cooperation agreement was successfully signed with ULM, a year has passed. He expressed deep affection for President Sun and earnest hope to restart his visit to HISU in the near future.

This meeting is not only a pragmatic advancement following the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two universities last year, but also a crucial milestone for both parties to join hands in embarking on a new journey of internationalized education.
