Deepening Cooperation and Jointly Cultivating Talents: New Consensus Reached during the Visit of Daegu Health College

November 14, 2025, the Chairman and President of Daegu Health University in South Korea, Nam Sung hee, and the delegation of five other faculties visited Hebei International Studies University, embarking on a meaningful exchange and visit journey. They were warmly welcomed by Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of Hebei International Studies University.

On the basis of friendly cooperation between the two sides, Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of Hebei International Studies University, Nam Sung hee, Chairman and President of Daegu Health University,  signed the cooperation agreement together. Both sides will focus on joint student cultivation, promoting teacher exchange and training program, and enhancing Chinese and Korean culture development, building a comprehensive and multi-level cooperation system, laying the foundation for the development of education cooperation between the two universities.

Accompanied by Vice President Chen Wei and Li Hang from the School of Oriental Languages, the delegation of Daegu Health University visited the core places such as the Fenglong Academy Hall, the School History Museum, the Han Tang Building, the International Friendship Hospital, and various professional training rooms. In the training room, the delegation stopped for a long time, observed carefully, and highly praised the school's organic integration of international education and the inheritance of Chinese culture. They believed that it not only injected new vitality into the school's development, but also provided a model for international education exchange to learn from.

In the afternoon, Professor Lee Sang Gyu, former president of the National Language Institute of South Korea, donated Korean language books to the School of Oriental Languages of Hebei International Studies University, using the fragrance of books to convey respect and further strengthen the friendly relationship between the two Universities. He was also invited to give a special lecture on the theme of “The Plan for Strengthening and Developing the Mutual Respect between the Korean and Chinese Languages and Cultures” for teachers and students of Hebei International Studies University. The lecture systematically sorted out the scientific value and international status of Korean language, and deeply explored the important significance and practical path of two-way communication and common development between Chinese and Korean language, bringing profound inspiration to the audience on site.

After the lecture, Chen Wei, Vice President of Foreign Affairs of the school, Li Hang, Dean of the School of Oriental Languages, Guo Le, Dean of the International Medical School, and Wang Yunli, Deputy Director of the International Department, held a discussion with the visiting delegation at the Foreign Experts Bookstore. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on Korean language teaching, medical cooperation, and other fields, and reached a consensus on cooperation. Next, both sides will continue to interact and promote the sharing of educational and medical resources between China and South Korea, providing a new platform for cultivating international professional talents.
