On October 15th, Jose Julio Gomez Beato, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to China, visited Hebei International Studies University and delivered a keynote lecture on diplomatic relations to the faculty and students. He officially accepted the appointment of a specially appointed professor at Hebei International Studies University, injecting vitality into China-Dominican educational cooperation and cultural exchanges.
In the keynote lecture on "Diplomatic Relations between the Dominican Republic and the People's Republic of China", Ambassador Gomez's sharing was rich in content and profound in meaning. All teachers and students in the school watched synchronously through the class smart blackboard, and the main venue was fully occupied. On site student representatives and ambassadors had in-depth discussions and exchanges on international exchange and cooperation, culture, tourism, and education, as well as telling the story of China well.
Subsequently, under the joint witness of leaders at all levels of the school and all teachers and students, Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of Hebei International Studies University, officially invited Ambassador Gomez as a distinguished professor on behalf of the school. Academician Sun Jianzhong personally presented the honorary trophy and appointment letter to Ambassador Gomez, and stated that the ambassador's joining will provide valuable resources for the international talent cultivation of the school, and effectively promote the development of China-Dominican education cooperation to a deeper and more practical level.

Ambassador Gomez stated in his acceptance speech that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Dominican seven years ago, they have always adhered to the principles of mutual respect and equal treatment, and education has become an important bridge to enhance people to people exchanges between the two countries. As a specially appointed professor, he will actively promote deep cooperation between Dominican universities and Hebei International Studies University, helping more students become inheritors and practitioners of the friendship between the two countries.
